PENSIONS

The Pensions arm of The BEIGE Group invites applications from suitably qualified persons to appoint as

Managing Director

The successful applicant will provide leadership and technical support to the growth of the company and be responsible for directing the activities of the company to meet strategic goals and objectives.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop Pensions Policies and Pensions Benefits Package
  • Provide strategic direction for the Company to meet performance goals and objectives
  • Review fund strategy and ensure good scheme performance
  • Supervise overall administration of pension schemes and liaise with Trustees and Pension managers
  • Establish regular business performance, monitoring and reporting with remedial actions where necessary
  • Lead in the development of new products and innovative ideas for business growth

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance related field is desirable
  • A post graduate qualification or an MBA will be an added advantage
  • Not less than 5 years working experience in the field, 3 of which in senior management positions
  • GSE-Qualified persons would have an added advantage

Key Requirements:

  • Proven and demonstrated leadership skills and evidence of previous involvement in strategic planning, development and implementation
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Must demonstrate high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities

INSURANCE

The Insurance arm of The BEIGE Group invites applications from suitably qualified persons to appoint as Managing Director

The successful applicant shall own the overall strategic, financial and operational responsibility to grow the business in line with the corporate goals and objectives

Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide good leadership to manage the affairs of the company efficiently to achieve the targets and objectives set by the Board of Directors
  • Initiate and lead policies and strategies to promote and grow the business of the company
  • Institute measures to ensure compliance with statutory regulations
  • Broker relations with business partners and Government Agencies to promote the business.
  • Establish regular business performance monitoring and reporting with remedial actions where necessary
  • Lead in the development of new products and innovative ideas for business growth

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of first degree in Insurance, Marketing, Actuarial Science, Finance or Social Science plus the Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) diploma or a recognised professional insurance qualification
  • A minimum of eight (8) years relevant working experience in the insurance industry, at least five (5) years of which should have been in a managerial role.
  • An additional Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related programme would be an advantage.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong marketing skills, negotiation and profound knowledge of insurance regulations
  • Have an excellent team leadership skills
  • Must be able to work within tight deadlines
  • Good orientation in corporate, finance and commercial activities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High level of integrity

Compliance Manager:

He/She will be responsible for enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of business as well as provide guidance on compliance matters.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop policies to reduce risk of non-compliance
  • Revise procedures, reports periodically to identify hidden risk or non-conformity issues
  • Evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously
  • Prepare reports for management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate
  • Maintain records of compliance activities.
  • Submit reports to Board highlighting areas of potential risks to the company

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • A post graduate qualification or an MBA will be an added advantage
  • Certified compliance professional is a plus
  • Not less than 5 year experience in the related area

Key Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of industry’s standards and regulations
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Ability to persuade others to adhere to standards

Sales Manager:

The Sales Manager will be responsible for analyzing several variables, including disability, sickness, retirement rates, and mortality rates, to predict risk and liability. Assess market potential and determine price schedules. He/She shall lead Sales Team to meet desired targets.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Analyze statistical data, such as mortality, accident, sickness, disability, and retirement rates and construct probability tables to forecast risk and liability for payment of future benefits
  • Plan and deliver on sales strategies to achieve desired target
  • Determine discounts and premiums
  • Plan Sales budget and appropriate distribution channels
  • Manage Sales Representatives to achieve overall sales targets
  • Conduct market research
  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree; business and marketing majors preferred
  • Three to five years in a sales representative role; within industry preferred
  • One year of prior management experience or demonstrated willingness and ability to learn management basics
  • Strong intrapersonal skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting

Key requirements:

  • Proven track record in Sales for multiple channels
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • A knack for achieving and exceeding targets

Finance Analyst:

The successful candidate will analyze and advise on the day-to-day financial activities and subsequently provide guidance to Management on future financial plans.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to Management while recommending further courses of action
  • Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take
  • Monitor and interpret cash flows and predict future trends
  • Develop trends and projections for the firm’s finances
  • Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
  • Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met
  • Develop financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk
  • Keep the company abreast with changes in financial regulations and legislation

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • Professional certificate in finance or banking is desired
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a finance position with previous role as a financial analyst.

Key requirements:

  • Strong analytical, modelling and commercial reporting skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Expert knowledge of accounting theory practice, regulatory requirements and reporting
  • Excellent financial analysis, forecasting and planning skills
